Cinemansion

We are more the suburban type, content with an occasional movie at the local cinemansion where we can nod to our friends across the loge section during the brief intermission between performances.

Less than 10 per cent of the student body dance, but they do not dance at the "White Palace" because the cabaret is owned and operated by the Japanese; about 10 per cent of them go to the shows, but they do not go to Capitol Theatre (no matter Greta Garbo or Robert Taylor) because the cinemansion is Japanese-owned now.

The usual sureseater formula is simple: give moviegoers what they rarely get in standard cinemansions — a single feature, no popcorn, well-behaved next-seat neighbors, super-comfortable seats and, most important, high-quality pictures from Britain, Fance, Italy, and sometimes even Hollywood.

"While 11,500,000 cinemaddicts sit in their favorite cinemansions of an average Sunday, 34,000,000 radio fans listen to Jack Benny on the air. On an average Monday 5,428,000 go to the movies; 26,000,000 stay at home to hear the Lux Radio Teatre program," Gallup noted.
