Misoperation

Errors of this type can be caused by a faulty instrument, the misoperation of an instrument, or by using an instrument in the environment for which it was not designed.

The effects of failure or misoperation of a mechanical system on its own division shall be considered when the Class 1E circuits or equipment are required to mitigate consequences of such failure or misoperation.
