Though most sexpo exhibs were reluctant to talk last week, it's clear that porno jitters are again vibrating in Manhattan, this time generated not by threatened police action, but by a series of anonymous bomb threats which gained sudden credibility last Tues night (9) when two pipe bombs exploded during performances at the Doll Theatre at Seventh Ave. at 48th St. and at Hollywood Twin Theatre on Eighth Ave. near 48th.

During one of my mother's recent visits to Australia to see me, I suggested we go to the sexpo exhibition. She agreed, although without knowing exactly what she was agreeing to.

Some surgeons in Australia promote their practices at annual sexpo exhibitions held in the main cities. Breast and buttock augmentation and female genital cosmetic surgery, the latter often advertised as a “designer vagina,” predominate at such events, with photographs of the various body parts labeled with phrases such as “enhance your pleasure” (for genital cosmetic surgery), “enhance your assets,” and “tighten yout tush.”
