Soygurt

While some old-school food scientists still relished plans for soygurt, fish hot dogs, reconstituted beef, surimi, and high-fiber barley bars (the stuff of “scientific eating”), reporters often dismissed such fabrications as too “good for you”—a clear turnoff for those who held health and taste to be irreconcilable.

Most of the time, the snacks are not vegan or even healthy, so I always bring my own snack food (just in case), but I do still check what the airline has to offer. I once had a flight to Toronto where the snack-pack had soygurt, fresh fruit, and sunflower butter with crackers.
