Superinstantaneous

While in Bangkok, Rhino meets a couple of SACIDs, people modified to have "superinstantaneous cognition", basically the ability to "… evade before you shoot; … [correct] before you evade." They are almost superhuman in their ability to take on any opponent and win.

Among fuzes, instantaneous, superinstantaneous, without delay, short delay, long delay, low velocity, reinforced spring time, anti-aircraft.

This means that which happen fast now will be happening so much faster tomorrow that the "superinstantaneous" reaction of electronics can hope to with the most commonplace problems of flying.

Textures have been rendered uniform, so that the sand slips into the sea and the sea merges imperceptibly into the shadow of the pier suspended above its surface.
