Warwork

A veteran who prior to his induction had been employed in warwork was not entitled to be reemployed in the same or a similar position in employer's peacetime operations where the peacetime work required a different skill not possessed by the veteran.

Civilian losses could not normally be offset against warwork profits under the applicable Board regulations at the time.

Through warwork it became possible for many women to articulate a resistance to their secondary status and to expose, if only for a moment, the erroneous beliefs about female voluntarism.
